SMILE (Small & Medium size Innovative Learning Enterprises) is een samenwerking tussen Dinalog, Mazars, Fluas en enkele andere partners, waaronder Duoinlog. Doel van SMILE is om in korte tijd (looptijd oktober 2014 – april 2015) zo’n 20 cases op te pakken. Deze cases worden gebundeld en kunnen andere MKB productie- en handelsbedrijven (verladers) inspireren om een flinke stap te zetten op het vlak van logistieke innovatie.
Nederland is groots in logistieke innovatie, maar vooral kleinere MKB verladers hebben vaak niet de juiste kennis, aandacht of middelen om hiervan te profiteren. Met SMILE krijgen deze verladers de kans om hun supply chain onder de loep te nemen en te verbeteren. Duoinlog ondersteunt het SMILE project op het gebied van duurzaam ondernemen (continuïteit van de supply chain) en CO2-reductie. Stel u biedt regionaal biologische producten aan en wilt ook graag uw transport en logistieke activiteiten ‘vergroenen’. Door de CO2 scan krijgt u inzicht in de CO2-uitstoot en komt mogelijk ook een kostenreductie binnen handbereik. Of u heeft ook een aantal eigen (vracht- of bestel-)wagens, maar deze staan deels stil en deels hebben ze het eigenlijk te druk. Misschien zijn er wel mogelijkheden om samen te werken in de keten of het transport af te stoten en zo de pieken en dalen af te vlakken.
